Sawyer was the ladies man today!!  There were 4 babies at Jaylee's party today and Sawyer 

was the only boy baby there, and he sure didn't mind.

Has a tooth, so must eat.....

Well since his tooth is in I decided to try solids again.  We did some home made rice cereal mixed with some home made applesauce mixed together and he loved it!  He didn't spit any out and his belly handled it just fine.

Hanging out outside....

Sawyer watched from here while Marshy and I flew his kite.  He was happy and content until he became hungry!!!

Mommy almost forgot!

Right before I went in to go to sleep I realized that I forgot to do his picture of the day!!  So I quick snapped a picture while he was sleeping.

Evening bonding time with Daddy....

So I am exhausted....  I think lack of sleep for the past 5 plus months has started to affect me.  So now that Sawyer has his very first tooth we decided to start giving him a bottle of formula every night before we lay him down.  He gets formula every now and then anyways, so hopefully this will help him sleep through the night a little better.  Russ will now be in charge of the last feeding of the day.  Let's hope this works!

Happy Boy!

Sawyer is my happy boy.  He is most always smiling and content.  Even while cutting a tooth!!

It's official, he has a tooth!

I've suspected teething in the past, but this time it's the real deal!  Sawyer has cut his very first tooth today!  You wouldn't even know it, he's acted just fine.

Fun with a wooden spoon....

Sawyer entertained himself with this wooden spoon while I was cleaning up the kitchen today.  He loved it so much that when Marshall tried to take it away from him he screeched and cried until it was promptly returned back to him!

It's belly time and he likes it!!

Sawyer actually liked belly time today!  It was the first time that he didn't fuss the whole time.  He is getting stronger and better at holding himself up.

St Patricks Day with my cousin Morgan....

They were so cute....  It's so neat that Sawyer's cousin Morgan is just one month younger then him.  They will be able to grow up together.

We had such a great St Patrick's Day.  We had family and friends over and celebrated with a cookout and a fire.  It was a perfect day!

Day #76

Play time....

Sawyer got to spend the day with his cousins today, actually he gets to spend time with them all weekend!  We had a great time today playing and hanging out, and tomorrow is going to be even better with a cookout and everything!!

I'm trying to sit up, but it's so hard......

I think I'm going to try to sit up.... I can totally do this.

Let me just kick my feet up, and try to sit forward....

Ok... that didn't work.  Let me try kicking one foot violently around and see if that works....

Shew..... that's hard work.  I think I will just sit back and relax instead.

Poor Sawyer tried and tried so hard to sit up.  The first time he actually sat upright, I turned to get the camera and he rolled off onto the floor!  After that he kept trying, and he was kicking his one leg around....Marshall and I were laughing so hard.  Oh well, better luck next time!

Day #73

What a beautiful day!

Today was a perfect day.  It was so warm and sunny outside.  We met up with our friend Kim and baby Morgan for lunch at the Old Town Mall.  We ate outside on the patio, and then took the babies for a walk.  It's so nice that Sawyer will be able to grow up with his cousin Morgan.

There wasn't an opportunity to get a picture of them together, but I'm hoping to get one this weekend when we meet up on Saturday.

Day #72

Mondays are the best!

I love Mondays....  Every Monday Sawyer get to spend quality time together, with no distractions.  Jaylee is in school and Marshall has preschool.  Russ goes back to work..... So after I get up and see the kids and Russ off for the day, Sawyer and I get to go back to bed for another hour or two.  I feed him and then lay him in the bed next to me.  It's the same every Monday morning.  He babbles at me, and we have our little conversation.  Then we both fall back to sleep.  It was so sweet this morning because I opened my eyes to see if he was sleeping yet, and he was gazing at me.  But his blinks were getting so slow and heavy, and then he closed his eyes and fell asleep.  It was so sweet to watch.  It was the perfect start to a perfect day!

Sawyer is sick with a yucky cold...

but you would never know it..... he is still happy and smiling.

Nap Time....

Someone finally took a nap in his crib today!!  This is a big step.  Let's hope it continues!

I'm getting stronger....

Sawyer is getting stronger.  He is finally able to play with some of his heavier toys instead of just his stuffed toys.  He played with this for quite a while.  He shook it, and moved the beads around.  He is changing so fast.

Outside time....

It was a beautiful day today.  In the 70's and sunny.  I set Sawyer on the porch while Marshall and I played outside.  Every time the breeze would blow into his face he would flinch and squint his eyes.  It was so cute.  He's not too used to the outside yet.  He loved watching the dogs and Marshall run around the yard.

Pucker lips....

Sawyer has made this face with his lips since he was born.  All 3 kids made that face, but Sawyer really sticks those lips out far!  It's so stinkin' cute!!

Sawyer turned 5 months old today...

Is there a way to slow down time?  I can't believe that he is 5 months old already.  He is getting so big and changing so fast.  It's been an amazing 5 months having you a part of our lives Sawyer.

I wanted to add that our friends have a baby girl named Kennedy that also has a birthday today.  Miss Kennedy is 8 months old today.  It's so neat that they were both born on the 5th of the month.  They get to see each other every Monday when we take Jaylee to dance class.  Sawyer got his first smooch from Kennedy on his birthday!!  They are so cute!
