Day #120

Practicing my sitting up skills....

Sawyer is perfecting the act of sitting up, and he was doing really well with it today.

He doesn't like the feel of the grass though...  He wouldn't touch it.

I physically placed his hand in the grass and he made the most awful face and then held his hands up higher...  

He fell over a couple of times and when his face touched the grass he hated it.  

He is finally starting to grow hair!!

I can't believe that he is going to be 7 months old here really soon.  Time is flying by with him and I am  treasuring my moments with him during his baby stage.

Today we worked around the yard.  Sawyer hung out just watching us all.

Sawyer's First Trip to the Washington, D.C. Zoo

We had a family fun day!

We took the kiddos to the National Zoo in Washington, D.C.

Sawyer was so good and hardly ever fussed the whole day!

Sawyer was laughing in the picture above because Russ had the hiccups.  He busted out laughing each time Russ hiccuped.

After the zoo we went out for dinner and Sawyer sat in a high chair for the very first time!

We all had such a wonderful day.  All 3 of the kids were so good, the weather was perfect and we had a blast!

I'm teething and ya know it......

The poor little dude was completely miserable today.  He wanted to be held every second, and if I put him down he would SCREAM and cry.....

That's not like Sawyer.  I put him in his little seat, see how un-thrilled he is (picture above)

Nothing like a little tickling of the legs to get him to smile!! (picture below)

I even got a good shot of those 2 "toofers" in there!!

Look who is sitting up!

This morning when we were waking up, I propped pillows around Sawyer and then he sat up the rest of the way!  He actually supported himself up pretty well.  If he would start to fall to the side he would catch his balance.  He is growing and changing so fast!!

Sleepy baby

Sawyer has been starting to get pretty fussy again at night.  Maybe there is another tooth on it's way?  Or maybe the start of a growth spurt....

Simple is best

Sawyer likes to sit outside with me while I tend to the chickens and ducks.  He sits in his little seat and plays with his toys and watches me, and watches the ducks waddle by and the chickens walk around.

He is such a patient baby.  As long as he can see us, and he feels like he is part of what is going on he is most always content.

Avocado is yummy!!

Sawyer had his first taste of home made avocado today and he loved it!!

This week he has started putting together a bunch of new sounds.  This week he has been saying

"Ada" it's so cute!!

Sweetness.....

Life has sure become hectic over the past few weeks.  I don't get enough sleep, I am always running around either picking kids up from school, or taking them to an activity....  or both....

We are starting our little "farm" so there are many more critters to take care of.  I'm trying to train and fund raise for my upcoming 3 day walk for the cure event while just trying to keep up with everyday household chores.  When I get so over whelmed and upset, I look down at this sweet smiling face and it all goes away....  Until he starts to cry again.  LOL.  No really being a Mommy to 3 bubbly and energetic children is the hardest thing I have ever done, but the most amazing thing I have ever done!!

I've got two tickets to the "gun" show.....

Sawyer had his 6 month check up today!  He is 15 pounds and 1 oz.  He is doing awesome.....

He is right on target with all of his milestones and is loving eating solids.  No rashes this time!!

Sawyer got a new toy!

Mommy bought Sawyer a new toy today.  This one is much lighter and easier for him to hold onto and chew on.  He loves it!

Fun with family!

I was so relieved that Sawyer was feeling much better today, and was back to his normal, happy self.  Russ's Aunt Janet, Uncle Ken and cousin Kailey were visiting from New York this week.   Everyone came over for a cook out today.  We had perfect weather and a great time!!  Morgan and Sawyer had fun  interacting.  They were so cute to watch!  I am so excited that they get to grow up together.

Mr. Cranky Pants....

Sawyer has been so cranky and extra needy.  That's why I was 2 days behind on the blog!!  I have been so exhausted and sleep deprived that I have been walking around like a zombie!!!  I've been snapping the pictures but I haven't been able to keep up....

I usually make my own apple sauce for Sawyer to eat, but a friend gave me some baby food that she didn't use for her son, and I guess it was a little sour...

Evening with Daddy

Daddy has taken over evenings with Sawyer this week.  Ever since he cut his two bottom teeth, Sawyer has been VERY fussy, and has kept me up all night for the past couple of weeks.  So Russ has been taking over so that I can get a little bit of sleep.  Sawyer is happy as long as he is being held, but is not a happy camper once he gets put down.

Young Love......

On Monday nights Sawyer goes with me to Jaylee's dance class where he gets to see Kennedy.  Kennedy crawled right over to him and kissed him on his head!!  It was so sweet.....

Sawyer's first Easter.....

The Easter bunny brought Sawyer his very first Easter bunny.

Poor Sawyer still isn't himself.  He's having an awful time with teething still.

We had a perfect time with family and friends today!

Oh I almost forgot.... I didn't get a picture but Sawyer rolled completely over from his back to his belly today!

Sawyer's first visit with the Easter Bunny....

He loved it!!  At first he kept staring up at the bunny and grabbing at his tie.  I thought that he may cry, because he has been so upset lately because his teeth are bothering him, but he actually smiled!!

Day #97

Poor Sawyer's teeth are still bothering him today.  He's better then he was yesterday and is eating much better now.  Today we made him a batch of sweet potatoes and he LOVED it!!

6 Months Old!!

Sawyer turned 6 months old today!  It's going by so very fast and I am trying to cherish every moment.

The poor kiddo is teething, and he is not feeling well at all.  He wouldn't take a bottle well from our babysitter and only nursed a little bit.  You can see in these pictures I took this morning that he isn't his normal smiley self.  Teething stinks!

Day #95

He cut another tooth!!

Sawyer has been soooo fussy the past 3 nights.  I just assumed it was a growth spurt, but I was wrong.  When I was feeding him his green beans for lunch I noticed that he cut ANOTHER tooth already!  No wonder the poor thing kept waking up every few hours in the night crying.  I just assumed he was hungry!

Spring Break!!

Jaylee is on spring break from school this week.  So of course we let Marshall stay home too.  We played outside and went for a walk today.  It was just so nice to have them all home today.  

I am so lucky to have such 3 perfect kids!!

Green Beans!!!!

We started green beans today and he LOVED them!!!  

I made him a home made batch last night.

I can't believe that he is going to be 6 months old here in just a few days!
