Happy boy...

Sawyer is such a happy boy!  He's eating just about everything now.  He's also drinking his formula out a sippy cup for the most part and he is slowly being weaned from nursing from me.  He's only getting nursed in the morning and at night.  Out of all of my kids he has definitely been the most needy baby, but that's ok with me.....

Shoes make me stand

I broke out a pair of Marshall's old baby pedipeds and they fit Sawyer perfectly!

He's never kept socks or shoes on so it took him a little bit to get used to them.

He tried to kick them off for a few minutes, but he was easily distracted.  When we went to Jaylee's dance class and he saw his little girlfriend Kennedy walking he let go of my knee and stood for a long time!  Then he squatted down and sat!!  After that he kept attempting to take steps.  He is growing and changing so fast.

Lazy Sunday...

Sawyer was pretty cranky today and felt warm.  I'm guessing it's probably teething since he's not sneezing or anything (yet).  He's changed a lot over the past week.  He's starting to finally fall into somewhat of a schedule.  He's been taking 1 to 2 naps a day and actually sleeping better at night.  We tried letting him cry it out a little and instead of him crying for 30 minutes, and never falling asleep, he cries for maybe 5 minutes and then he lays down and goes to sleep!  Next step is to finally get him in his crib!

Towing around a toy...

This was hilarious!!  Marshall put the rope that was attached to his truck inside of Sawyer's diaper.  Sawyer crawled around all over the place towing the truck behind him.  It was hilarious.

It's a good thing that Sawyer's diaper was clean!

At the bus stop

I was out for my walk again today so our babysitter Kayleigh was nice enough to pick Jaylee up from the bus stop for me.  She took this picture of Sawyer for me.  He loves his babysitter.  He gets all happy and excited when he sees her.  If it wasn't for her help I wouldn't have been able to do my training for the 3 day walk!

Sawyer and Auntie Laurie

The kids really enjoyed their visit with their Aunt Laurie and Uncle Ron for the past few days.

It's been so nice to have family here visiting us again.

The picture here below was taken yesterday, but I had already done Sawyer's blog when I took this picture.  He was carrying his teething ring in his mouth for 40 minutes!  He was crawling all over the house carrying it around in his mouth.

Climbing Baby...

Marshall took a cushion off of the couch to make a blanket fort, and Sawyer learned quick that he could climb up there!  He has no fear...

Cousins....

Morgan and Sawyer had fun playing together tonight.  Here they were eating their baby snacks side by side.  They were so cute crawling around on the floor together.  When Sawyer first saw Morgan he crawled up to her and gave her a kiss.  It was so sweet.

Running around with Mommy

Russ and the kids were still off on their camping trip, so Sawyer and I did a bunch of running around today.  He was such a good boy.  He was happy and flirting with the ladies whenever they would walk by.  He's my cutie pie!

Lazy day with Mommy

Russ took Jaylee and Marshall camping and Sawyer and I stayed home.

There was so much stuff that I needed to get done, and Sawyer has been having a hard time with teething.  I didn't end up getting anything done on Saturday, but Sawyer and I snuggled on the couch for most of the day and we actually took a nap together!  It was wonderful.

Sawyer is getting really good on his feet.  He's getting braver and starting to let go while he's standing.

He squats down to sit now instead of always just falling down to his bum.

Passed out!

I put Sawyer in his jumper while I was cleaning up... all of a sudden it got really quiet.

This is how I found him.  He slept for a good 1/2 hour like this.  This isn't the first time that he passed out in his jumper.  Maybe I need to put him in it at night!!

Getting ready for bed....

He is finally starting to settle down into somewhat of a routine.  He's starting to get tired and fall asleep around the same time each night.  He's also starting to take at least one nap (most days).  

He is my third child and the only one who won't go on a routine!  He's also the first one to not sleep through the night still.  It goes to show you that every child is different!

I started loading the dish washer and I turned around to help one of the kids with something and when I came back to the dish washer this is what I found!  And can you see how proud of himself he is!!

Hanging out with family...

Sawyer had a great time hanging out with his family.  He really liked his Uncle Dave.

His cousin Sarah loved Sawyer.  And Sawyer loved her too!!  She carried him around and held him almost constantly.  It was the cutest thing ever.

Sawyer even jumped right into the wrestling match!!  He climbed right up there trying to wrestle with his Uncle Dave and cousins!  It was too cute.

Sawyer's first time in D.C.

The whole family spent the day in D.C. today.  It was Sawyer's first time seeing the monuments.  We went to the DC zoo with him before, but not the monuments.  See he's pointing to the White House!!  We went with my Uncle Dave, Jennifer, Sarah and Kevin.  My cousin Josh his wife Hannah and three daughters met us in DC from North Carolina.  They will be following us home and staying with us until Monday.  It was a long day, but a fun day!  Sawyer did great.  We rotated him in the stroller and the baby back pack.

He took a nice nap while we were waiting for the first round of visitors to arrive today.

My Uncle Dave, his wife Jennifer and kids Sarah and Kevin are on their way from Syracuse NY to visit us until Tuesday.

Passed Out...

Kayleigh our babysitter took this picture of Sawyer.  She was babysitting and he fell asleep in his jumper!!  I guess it's exhausting being a baby...

So what's for dessert??

Sawyer looked so cute tonight in his high chair.  He slumped down, so all you could see was his little head peering up over his food tray on his high chair.  He just finished his dinner and he was sitting there all patient until I cleaned up his face and hands.

10 Months old and one day...

On the 5th of every month I put Sawyer in this same chair and take his picture....

Yesterday was the 5th and I forgot.....

So here it is.  He is getting so stinkin' big and cuter by the moment.

He is so incredibly sweet and snuggly.

I'm getting too big Mommy

10 Months Old

I gave Sawyer a bath in the bathroom sink.... and it appears that he is all of the sudden way too big!!

It also just occurred to me that I now have a 10 month old baby!

Sawyer actually allowed me to sleep for 7 long, beautiful hours last night!  I didn't wake up, I actually dreamed.  It's been so long since I have dreamed.  Maybe he will let me sleep again tonight...

Oh to dream.

Day #214

Sawyer cut a top tooth!

Last night was BAD....

He was up almost constantly crying and fussing.

This morning when we got up I looked in his mouth and sure enough he cut another tooth.

He has his first top tooth, so that explains why he wasn't feeling well yesterday.

He was so fussy and clingy today.  Tylenol and teething tablets only helped a little.  Poor guy.

I finally got him down, so hopefully he will sleep good tonight.  He didn't sleep good last night and he didn't nap well today.  One can only hope....

Cranky Pants....

Sawyer seemed really off today.  He didn't want to eat much, and he seemed really tired.  He was extra clingy and a little cranky today.  Maybe he's over tired from all of the excitement, or maybe a tooth is coming.  It's hard to tell.  Then again he did keep me up ALL night......

Sawyer's first trip to the fair...

We took the kids to the fair tonight.  Jaylee and Marshall had a blast.  Sawyer enjoyed people watching and he loved eating Daddy's green beans from his fair famous chicken dinner!  He also enjoyed a few french fries!!

So glad to be home....

We had a long day of traveling today.  It took us 7 hours to drive from NY to Virginia.  All 3 kids did amazing, traffic was pretty good and we only stopped twice!

Sawyer seemed happy to be back home and in his own bed!  We miss our family and friends already though...  It's hard leaving them behind after such a fun visit.
