Starting on January 1, 2012 I will be taking a photograph of my son Sawyer everyday for a full 365 days plus 1 extra day...it's a leap year. I am so excited to do this photo project and to document the first year of his life on a day to day basis. It is going to be amazing to watch him change day to day over the span of a year.

Day #138
May 17th, 2012, as
My little gardener...
The kids and I made a little flower garden around our house sign at the end of the driveway. Sawyer sat on his blanket and watched us. He tried to eat some grass at one point, but we put a stop to that!! He's such a good boy (during the day). He's happy and content, as long as he can see us.
Day #137

All he wants do is sit up!!!
All he wants to do is sit up!! It's so funny.
And he's trying to crawl!! This morning I had him in my bed. I set up pillow blockades and he just kept rolling and army crawling and busting his way up and over my pillow blockades!!
The picture below the babysitter took, he is trying to crawl with everything that he has!

Day #133
May 12, 2012
Out to dinner with Grammy...
We went out for a nice family dinner to celebrate Mother's Day a day early. Mom is leaving to go back to NY tomorrow, so we are doing it tonight. Sawyer was so good. I forgot his bottle, and he was satisfied eating his baby food and having some of my water to drink.
It was challenging getting a shot of her with all 3 kids, so this was the best one out of the bunch that I took!

Day #132
Going on a walk with Mommy.....
I've tried using the front baby carrier a few times with Sawyer and he always cries when he's in it. My Mom is still here visiting and I wanted to take her for a walk to the river with the kids. It would be difficult to go off roading with the stroller, so I thought I would try it again. This time he liked it. He actually started to laugh when I put him in it!! At first I had him facing forward, he started to get tired so I flipped him around (facing me) and then he was fine.

Day #126
Happy 7 month Birthday Sawyer!!
Today Sawyer turned 7 months old, and it was also his very first Apple Blossom Festival.
He did great today. It was a very busy day. We had Jaylee's soccer game this morning and then we rushed right over to Winchester for the parade and festivities.
Then we came back home to barbecue and spend some more time with my Grandparents. Here is Sawyer sitting with his Great Grandpa Bigsby watching the fire. Sawyer was being such a wiggle worm that he couldn't hold him for too long though. He was also trying to grab Grandpa's hat and glasses!!
It was a wonderful day and it's been such a great time having my Grandparents here for the week.

Day #125
Maxing and relaxing it.....
Sawyer had a pretty easy day today. He got to get spoiled rotten by Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Bigsby today while Russ and I took Jaylee and Marshall to the carnival. It was nice to have one on one time with them, and be able to ride the rides with them. Then we all went out to dinner and Sawyer enjoyed sharing some of my sweet potato and green beans from the restaurant, oh and some ice cream for dessert!!

Day #124
A visit with Great Grandma Bigsby
My Grandparents came down from New York to visit us for a few days. They drove down in their camper. They haven't seen Sawyer since he was a little over a month old.
Grandma watched Sawyer for me for a little while today so that I could go to one of Jaylee's school functions and not have to drag Sawyer along.
Sawyer really enjoyed all of the extra cuddle time that his Great Grandma gave him today!

Day #123
It was time to dust off the ole' highchair....
We pulled out the highchair from the garage and scrubbed her up for Sawyer. We haven't used it since Marshall was a baby. Marshall used to fall asleep in his food in this highchair. Only time will tell if Sawyer will follow in his big bro's foot steps. It's so much fun watching a baby grow, develop and change on a day to day basis. It's been so much fun looking back through the daily pictures that I have taken and see how much he actually grew and changed since January. It also makes me a little sad, since I am pretty sure that this will be my last baby. I will miss the baby stage. The sleepless nights are so worth it. Every time he pees on me and then smiles at me, it's still so worth it. The damage to my body is so worth it! As they grow up they start to need you in different ways, and before I know it they will be teenagers and then off to college and then starting their own lives. Again I hope that these kids will be the "good" people that this world needs right now. So far so good!!
