Where did Sawyer go????
We had a really good night with Sawyer last night. He only woke up once to eat!! I laid him in the bed next to us, like we usually do after 3 a.m.
I woke up at 7 a.m. in full panic because Sawyer wasn't in his usual spot next to me. Usually when I open my eyes he is the first thing I see. I sat up and looked around and I found him spooning Russ's head! Russ didn't put him there. I guess he climbed up there in the night.
I thought that this was the sweetest thing I have ever seen.
At one point Russ turned his head to the side and then Sawyer grabbed his ear and just hung onto it for a bit.
Some people get all bent out of shape about the whole co sleeping thing.
We didn't do co sleeping with my other 2 children, and we tried to not do it with Sawyer.
Sawyer still hasn't slept in his own room, except for a hand full of naps.
I really believe that different children have different needs.
Sawyer happens to be a little extra needy, especially at night.
Maybe it's because he's the third child and during the day he doesn't get full attention from me because I have two other kids to take care of. At night he gets us all to his self!
They only are babies for such a short time. I realize this more now then when I had my first two kids.
We get in such a rush for them to do "stuff" ahead of schedule that we forget to treasure the moment of them just being babies.
Before I know it, he will be grown and I will miss the moments of having my own baby to hold, rock and feed. I'm trying to hold onto every last ounce of his baby hood.
